Prepare yourself to experience the season of your choice in the "High
Country". Winters can be extremely cold, while the summer can rival
the tropics. It is best to come prepared - warm clothes, rain gear,
sun screen and insect repellant are the basics.
Ten housekeeping
cabins, each with its own charm and character, provide you with a relaxed
rustic shelter. Each is equipped with all the basics of country living.
A wood stove, dishes, utensils and cook ware. Some have propane stoves
and cold running water. All have comfortable beds, tables and chairs.
Bring your own sleeping bags, towels, and food. Electric light is supplied
to each cabin in the evening till 10 PM. Coal oil lamps are supplied,
but your own gas lamp may be of benefit.
A modern
wash house takes the edge off your summer adventure, with hot showers,
and flush toilets. For those of you who insist on the complete experience,
outhouses are provided.
Surrey Lake
Fishing Resort is fortunate to share its neighbourhood with many species
of wildlife. Moose, bear, and deer are just a few.
Surrey Lake
Fishing Resort has been around since 1931. It has for years, offered
its guests an adventure, a wilderness experience. Even today, with the
Coquihalla making your journey somewhat easier, Surrey Lake still maintains
its wilderness setting. Four lakes are within reach of the resort, but
most are four-wheel drive access. Wild Kamloops trout abound in all
these lakes, just waiting to be tempted by your lure.
Enjoy your
stay.
